Dean Carlson, The founder of Styled Ice and a certified Master Ice Carver, has appeared on CBS Sunday Morning, local news papers, and Canadian television. The holder of two US National Championship titles, he was a formidable force at competitions throughout the US, Canada, and Japan. His competition career culminated at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics where he captained the US Ice Sculpting Team. Having achieved his dream of seeing Ice Sculpting make it into the Olympics, he then turned his attention to the growing success of Styled Ice Inc.
David Hubbard is a South Florida native with a long history in Palm Beach County. As a second generation Garde Manger Chef, Dave brings 20 years of management experience to Styled Ice. Although cooking was the family profession, Dave's love was ice sculpting. Having carved ice for select customers since 2008, Dave's passion was well known in the Styled Ice freezers, as he often "talked shop" with Dean Carlson to learn tips and exchange ideas. Competing at the World Ice Art Championships in Alaska only deepened his interest in the art of ice. Dave understands the Chef Customer, and combines his ice skills with culinary background to design creative ice displays customized to the needs of the operation. Styled Ice is thrilled to welcome Dave to the team, and Dave looks forward to leading Styled Ice into the future.

Ben went on to compete in Fort St. John, Canada with partner Woojay Poynter, who was also an instructor at OCCI. He has also competed in the 2012 Team ands singles event at the World Ice Art Championships in Fairbanks, AK. Later that summer Styled Ice was fortunate enough to have “Young Ben” join our team and advance in the field of ice carving.
